I survived first year @ UofT! =)

Yes, so now that the last exam is over, I am feeling an incredible sense of relief. First year at UofT has indeed been a very strenous ordeal for me, but I am glad because of the amount of things that I have learned along the way, and not just academically speaking either. It was all about adaptation and survival almost, suddenly being thrown into a place where things were completely different than high school and forced to adapt and change.
Living by myself was very hard to get used to, as was establishing new friendships and relationships with people and dealing with the loss of others. But overall, I feel like I have made an improvement. Despite all the mistakes and failures I have made, retrospectively, I am glad that I have made them, I have to accept the fact that I can’t make everyone happy, and I can’t do my best all the time. I came to UofT expecting that it will help prepare me for life as an adult, and in that sense it has met my expectations admirably.
So now with confidence, I hope summer school and second year will continue to prepare me for life. =).
