–Jordan played in the pre social media era, which means he was publicly scrutinized far less
-Jordan’s unblemished 6–0 record in the Finals is a huge part of his mythos
-Jordan didn’t switch teams and only played with the Wizards out of a duty to help the organization financially
-Jordan is a 6′6 shooting guard of slimmer build making him more relatable than a 6′8 forward that is built like a freight train
-Jordan’s basketball skillset is seen as more graceful and beautiful to watch on the court compared to Lebrons
-Jordan stays out of the public spotlight giving people less of a chance to scrutinize him post career and thus less of a chance to potentially damage his legacy
-Lebron not only switched teams but he did so in a very public way especially with “The Decision” and declaring that he would win 10+ championships which led to public ridicule
–Whenever Lebron switches teams there is always another all-star or two that joins him leading fans to believe he is taking the easy way out to win rings. Fans perceive joining teams as a free agent differently than being traded by an organization. Ironically, had Lebron demanded a trade to MIA or CLE instead he might have been criticized less for it.
–Lebron is constantly scrutinized in the social media era and because of the large amount of haters online whatever he says will be twisted by the haters and made into more hate fodder i.e the latest being the ‘ring culture’ comment that haters took out of context and gave haters more ammo to play around with
–Lebron publicly called himself the GOAT which is something Jordan has never publicly done
–Lebron playing in the modern era and not getting as much foul calls as earlier in his career has to resort to flopping alot on the court which gives haters more ammo to ridicule him for
–Lebron’s 4–6 Finals record doesn’t look as good as Jordan’s 6–0 and most casuals will not care about the context of the losses and just look at the 6 Finals losses and call him a loser
