Because there’s a negative narrative against Lebron both in social media and mainstream media.
People actively try to suppress Lebron’s great moments and amplify his negative moments. notice how all they talk about is that Game 6 – and specifically the Bosh rebound and Allen shot? because they want the narrative to be that Bron was saved by his teammates. They never mentioned Bron’s 16 pts in the 4th OR Bron’s clutch Game 7 because that ruins the narrative.
How come they don’t talk about him taking the 64 win 2006 Pistons to 7 games in his 3rd season pretty much all by himself? That was a better team than the 2004 Pistons who beat the Kobe/Shaq superteam in 5 games.
How come they don’t talk about him averaging 38/8/8 against the Magic in 2009 and only hear people making fun of him for losing against Dwight?
How come they don’t talk about Bron beating a 62 win Bulls team with the MVP Derrick Rose on it in 5 games? Or beating the 2011 Celtics who had previously taken Kobe’s Lakers to 7 – in 5 games? But always talk about him losing to the Mavs in the Finals?
How come they don’t talk about him beating the same team Kobe couldn’t beat in 2012 – the OKC Big 3?
How come they don’t talk about 2013 Finals Game 7 but only the few seconds of Game 6?
How come they don’t talk about him sweeping the 60 win Hawks team in the 2015 playoffs? Yet when Kobe sweeps a 50 win team then it’s some godlike achievement?
How come they don’t talk about the two playoff buzzers in one playoff run in 2018 and playing every single minute in Game 7 to beat Boston but talk about him getting swept in the Finals?
How come they don’t talk about him locking up Jamal Murray in the 2020 playoffs – who even Kawhi and PG had a hard time guarding that playoffs? Or having a 40 point game in the Finals? But they say its a ‘bubble’ ring to discredit that entire run
How come they don’t talk about him shooting a game winner over Steph Curry in the 2021 play in tournament? Yet keep saying how Steph beat Lebron in the Finals when the teams were uneven
How come they don’t talk about Bron scoring 56 points against the championship Warriors team in 2022 as a 38 year old?
How come they don’t talk about him beating the defending champ Warriors in the 2023 playoffs as the underdog? Yet make fun of him getting swept in the WCF when he wasn’t even expected to be there?
How come they stopped talking about all time scoring leader after Bron took it from Kareem? That used to be Kareem’s signature achievement and a huge part of Kareem’s GOAT case and now Bron has it and the media just shuts up about it
How come nobody talks about Bron’s game winner vs South Sudan or clutch performance vs Germany in the Olympics? Yet everyone says Curry saved Bron’s legacy that Olympics
It’s just the amazing stuff that Bron does.. people just shut up about it after it happens but everyone talks up any negative moment that happens to him. And with every other superstar Jordan, Kobe, Curry , etc it’s the opposite – they never talk about their negative moments and always hype up the positive ones.
They spin things for Bron all the time – case in point 2025 playoffs just a few months ago – Bron was blamed for the team losing against the Timberwolves. He was crucified on social media as not being clutch and not scoring enough in the 4th quarter – but he didn’t have the ball much in the 4th quarter because he was deferring to Luka since Luka was *supposed* to be the Lakers main superstar at that point! And Luka performed horribly he shot badly and made a lot of terrible turnovers but guess who gets blamed for the loss? 40 year old Lebron. It’s nuts.
So don’t tell me the media loves Lebron. They really don’t. Guys like Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith literally make a career out of hating on Lebron. And whenever a former player like Rodman or Paul Pierce or Chalmers says anything negative about Bron it blows up on social media. That’s the media ‘loving’ Bron? cmon now
