I’m going to address one of the comments on another post here since comments were disabled there and these kinds of comments from haters really annoy me
These haters always have logical inconsistencies and twisting of facts.
Bill Russell had no FMVPs because they weren’t given out until 1969, that was Russell’s last year.
What does he mean by add the 2 he should have lost and he had only 2? something doesnt make sense here.
Pop meltdown and ejection of Draymond is part of the game. He is just finding ways to diminish Lebron’s wins. This kind of logic can be applied to most Finals wins how many Finals series was affected by injuries or misplays? Almost all of them. What if Magic didn’t injure his hamstring in 1989? What if there wasn’t a phantom foul called on Laimbeer in 1988? What if Starks didn’t brick a bunch of shots in 1994? What if the refs didn’t rig the 2002 Lakers series or 2018 Rockets series? I mean you can make a case for any series if you use this kind of hater logic.
Remove the bubble championship? Why? That’s again hater logic. What’s the issue with the bubble? I still haven’t heard any legit arguments why it shouldn’t count except that Bron won that one so haters want to discredit it. Every team literally played under the same conditions. Every team had rest. No fan pressure? Well all teams were playing in the same arena with no fans. So what’s the issue here?
Why does Wade’s championship take away Bron’s? It makes no sense. Why does it belong to Wade? The reason why people say Kobe’s first 3 championships matter less is because he wasn’t the best player for those 3. That’s not case with the 2012 championship which Bron was the best player for so why is it Wade’s? And FYI nobody takes away Kobe’s 5 championships its just that his fans hype up Kobe’s rings and act like he won them all by himself, when in reality the first 3 do matter less than the other 2.
Less teams in the league means every team had 2 or more hall of famers on them.
Wilt Chamberlain did not outplay Russell every time. Not in terms of killer instinct at least. By all accounts Wilt should have beaten Russell’s Celtics in 1968 when Wilt had a 62 win team, was the league MVP and had the better team (Chet Walker, Hal Greer, Billy Cunningham) while Russell only had Havlicek and Sam Jones. But he blew a 3–1 lead to the Celtics that playoffs when he had the better team on paper and had the lead in the series.. so what happened there?
And the ending sentence really gets me… so Gasol is not top 50 or top 75 that’s what a lot of Kobe fans like to say. Ok, but he was an all-star and all-nba level player and a hall of famer. Why diminish Gasol like this? To make Kobe look better? And meanwhile for Lebron he counts Dwight, Ray Allen and Rondo who were near the end of their careers? See the double standards here? How the heck are those guys all star level when they were close to retirement and then he turns around and says Gasol isn’t an all star? That’s infuriating and dishonest and proves that these haters just want to do everything in their power to discredit Lebron as much as possible and hyping up his teammates as much as possible while for Jordan and Kobe it’s the opposite they give them as much credit as possible while diminishing their teammates. I’m very annoyed by comments like this.

Why subtracting? See it makes no sense. Why can’t we subtract like we do for Kobe’s first 3? Well first of all nobody is subtracting Kobe’s first 3. His first 3 are worth less than the other 2 because he wasn’t the main player for those first 3. It’s the same reason why Pippen’s 6 is worth less than Jordan’s 6. But Lebron was the best player for those 4 he won. So it makes no sense to subtract those.
Why list Finals records? The losses really don’t matter to anyone except the haters. Like literally why do Finals losses matter more than other losses? I don’t get that. So not making the playoffs would be better than making the Finals and losing?
Why does Rondo winning a championship matter? Allen never delivered the San Antonio championship? Dwight saying run it back does not mean Dwight was in his prime? That’s so stupid.
Kobe was the leader and coached them into championship mentality? What? AFAIK Kobe was begging to be traded from the Lakers in 2007 until the Lakers got him Gasol and they started winning again. They didn’t magically get better because of Kobe. They got better because of Gasol. Kobe wasn’t getting them past the first round until Gasol arrived those are the facts.
Lebron shipped off young talent and destroyed careers? Well lets see here, what would Brandon Ingram and Nick Young and Lonzo Ball have done with the Lakers? Would the Lakers would rather have them or AD? It’s common sense. You need star players to win, not young talent that may or may not pan out. There’s no time to take risks like that. Who’s career did Bron destroy? AFAIK he was the one who offered JR Smith another chance to get a ring, he was the one who got Mozgov and Tristan Thompson higher salaries, he was the one who extended Zydrunas career by an extra 5 years when he was closed to retirement. Who did he destroy? Bronny James was a 55th pick. How did he destroy the Lakers? See how stupid all this logic is.
And again with the Finals losses… are Finals losses the only losses in basketball? It seems from the haters that the only losses that count are the Finals losses. I didn’t know not making the playoffs and losing in the first round aren’t counted as losses, somebody should have told Lebron to lose in the first round more. So the whole “Bron is a loser” narrative is literally ONLY based on his Finals losses that’s it acting like it’s the only losses that count in basketball which is total BS. So only Finals games matter huh.. guess Kobe’s 81 point game doesn’t matter then, it wasn’t in the Finals so it never happened.
Oh, and the premise of the entire question is wrong. Magic is 5–4 in the Finals. Lebron is 4–6. You don’t count the total number of Finals appearances as the losses. I can tell the question asker themselves aren’t too bright or doesn’t know how basic math works.
