Why do Koreans eat dogs?

The dogs they eat in Korea are a special breed of dogs. It doesn’t mean they are eating the same breeds as their pets.

At first I was against dog eating too but then it kind of made sense to me – there’s WILD Dogs, we just don’t see them very often. And if we kill certain birds/fish and eat them (like Chicken or Salmon) and keep others as pets (Parrots Goldfish etc) why can’t that work for dogs as well? We keep certain kinds as pets and certain kinds for eating. Not all dogs are domesticated.

If you live in the countryside and you are a farmer I don’t see any reason why they can’t have dogs as BOTH friends + food just like we do for Birds and Fish.
