Why do Bron haters discredit his finals appearances saying they are ‘participation trophies’? Do we discredit silver medals in the Olympics?

Bron haters are idiots.

It’s no more or less than that, they don’t understand how sports works. They think that if you are not #1 and didn’t win a championship or a gold medal, then you suck and might as well have not competed at all.

Well in Bron’s case it’s even worse than that because losing in the Finals is apparently even worse than not making the playoffs since Bron haters only count Finals losses as ‘real’ losses.

The Finals record debate like saying it’s better to not make the Olympics than to have a silver medal.

Basically that’s what they are implying with the Finals record BS argument. And it’s unfortunate that so many people online use this argument, because it’s absolutely terrible argument and completely illogical and against why people play sports. You play for a chance to win. You can’t just not participate because you are afraid of not coming in first, or not winning gold.
