What is the most universally acclaimed Hollywood film?

I’m not sure how we are judging universal acclaim, is it by Rotten Tomatoes score or Metacritic or what?

Anyways I think I will mention a few films that are universally regarded as some of the greatest Hollywood films of all time (and yes I have watched all of these and do highly recommend them):

City Lights (1931)

It Happened One Night (1932)

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Mr Smith goes to Washington (1939)

The Grapes of Wrath (1940)

Citizen Kane (1941)

The Maltese Falcon (1941)

Casablanca (1942)

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)

All About Eve (1950)

Sunset Boulevard (1950)

On the Waterfront (1954)

Rear Window (1954)

The Searchers (1956)

12 Angry Men (1957)

Vertigo (1958)

North By Northwest (1959)

Some Like it Hot (1959)

The Apartment (1960)

Cool Hand Luke (1967)

The Graduate (1967)

The Graduate (1967) | The Criterion Collection

2001 a Space Odyssey (1968)

The Godfather (1972)

The Godfather II (1974)

Chinatown (1974)

One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)

Taxi Driver (1976)

Annie Hall (1977)

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

E.T (1982)

Amadeus (1984)

Back to the Future (1985)

Do the Right Thing (1989)

Goodfellas (1990)

Terminator 2 (1991)

Schindler’s List (1993)

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Pulp Fiction - Official Site - Miramax

Shawshank Redemption (1994)

Starting from the late 1990s, Hollywood films start to become more polarizing and it gets much harder to find movies that have ‘universal acclaim’ so I’m just going to stop here with Shawshank. But yeah, all the movies on this list I would consider all time great.
