What is a home theater setup would you recommend?

I can recommend one for every budget;

$100 budget

At this level you pretty much have to go soundbar cause that’s all you have the budget for.

I’d go with the Sony S100F soundbar it can be found for $100 on sale from Amazon and 2.0 is pretty much the best you can get for this small budget.

$200 budget

Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar + Subwoofer package ($200 on Amazon sale) looks like a pretty decent 2.1 home theater package for this price

$500 budget

Logitech Z906 ($400)

This is one of the cheapest full 5.1 systems you can get on the market right now and you can get it all for actually under $500. And while it’s not a receiver, the command module does accept 2 optical inputs so you don’t necessary need a receiver to hook it up to your TV it’s all just ready to go whereas other 5.1 systems around this price still needs a separate receiver to hook up. And we’re under budget by $100.

$1000 budget

Klipsch Reference 5.1 Theater Pack ($400)

+ Denon AVR-S770H 7.2 receiver ($450 on Amazon sale)

So this is pretty incredible value. A 7.2 channel receiver (more than we need for this setup) and a 5.1 Klipsch sound system and we’re still under budget by $150.

$2000 budget

Monitor Audio Bronze 100 ($725)

+ Monitor Audio Bronze C150 ($450)

+ Klipsch Sub-120 ($300)

+ Denon AVR-S770H 7.2 receiver ($450 on Amazon sale)

Ok so the Denon receiver is a fantastic deal so I’m keeping that pick along with the Klipsch subwoofer but then essentially upgrading the front and center channel to use Monitor Audio instead, while not having enough money for the surrounds. So, technically a downgrade from 5.1 to 3.1 however I think it’s worth it for the better quality fronts and center which are much more important than surrounds.

$5000 budget

Paradigm Premier 700F x2 ($1800)

+ ELAC Uni-Fi Reference UCR52 ($700)

+ ELAC Debut 2.0 SUB3030 ($600)

+ Anthem MRX 540 8K ($1900)

At this budget there’s tons of options available, but I wanted to maximize the $5k budget so this is the combination on Crutchfield I found that used up every last dollar lol a pair of Paradigm floorstanders combined with ELAC center channel and subwoofer and an Anthem receiver (with very good built in room correction called ARC).

$10000 budget

MartinLogan Motion F10 x2 ($2500)

+ MartinLogan XT C100 ($1500)

+ SVS SB-3000 subwoofer ($1200)

+ Marantz AV7706 processor/preamp ($3000)

+ Rotel RMB-1555 power amplifier ($2300)

Ok technically this is a bit over $10k but oh well.. at this budget we can go separates and get some nicer speakers all around and I think this is fine for that budget lol
