Nope. He was rusty for the 17 games he played in the regular season. Not in the playoffs though.
Look at his 1995 vs 1996 playoff stats.. he actually shot 2% better in 1995 while averaging more PPG, RPG, APG, SPG and BPG.

Jordan because of how great he was, didn’t need much time to adjust. He was just as great in the 1995 playoffs as any other playoffs run he had.
The reason why the Bulls lost in 1995 is not because of Jordan but because they lost Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright and had no interior presence to defend against Shaq. In 1996 they got Dennis Rodman and this issue was fixed. That’s it.
It’s ironic to me that Jordan fans blame him for the 1995 loss. No.. Jordan was great. He doesn’t deserve any blame in that loss at all. It was their lack of size in 1995 matched up against the Magic that’s why they lost. It’s weird that people blame Jordan for this.
