The IE900 is a well known IEM from Sennheiser, it’s a single DD IEM that cost $1500 USD originally. Tested using Lotoo Paw Gold Touch as my main reference source.
It has a solid aluminum shell, and MMCX connectors (which are annoying to pull out). It comes with 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm connectors as well 6 different sizes of tips and a decent carrying case.
Bass:
This is where the IE900 shines as the bass has both quantity and quality. It’s got noticeably elevated mid bass punch and subbass rumble and slam, and I think the bass rivals that of many $2k and even $3k IEMs. It’s that good.
Mids:
I think this is a weak point of the IE900 as the mids are recessed due to the v shaped tuning and also feels drowned out by the bass and treble. As a result the mids feel not very detailed and also a bit distant.
Treble:
The treble is nice and energetic giving lots of clarity without sounding overly harsh or sibilant. It’s clearly pushed a bit as well due to the tuning.
Technicality:
I think the soundstage and detail is probaby on par with a $1k IEM not so much a $1500 IEM so its slightly below average in technicalities compared to its peers for example a Monarch MK2 and Dunu Glacier will likely equal it in technicalities at a lower price point.
Overall, this is a nice energetic IEM for bassheads and bass lovers but also for people who just like fun IEMs that work with electronic genres however just be aware that the mids are a bit weak and as a result is not that great for listening to vocal tracks with.
