Above average in the same league as Clinton and Obama’s.
Note that Biden is an interesting case because the public perception of Biden is not very high compared to how historians and political scientists view him.
The public perception of Biden is bad – that’s why his successor Harris lost. And it’s bad because of something that happened during Biden’s term that he couldn’t control – COVID19. COVID19 caused a global recession and in order to counteract that recession, governments around the globe – including the US – had to prop up the economy by giving out stimulus checks which had the side effect of driving up inflation since the government was printing so much money. Then the public blamed the inflation and the effects of COVID along with fentanyl and immigration (unfairly) on Biden.
But here’s objectively what Biden did well:
-His response to COVID19 (American Rescue Act) was as good as any developed country – the US recovered from COVID19 recession faster than any other developed country
-He signed bipartisan bills on infrastructure and manufacturing
-Despite high inflation rates during his term, he managed to reduce it back down to 2% by the end of his term (well, the Fed did anyways since the President doesn’t have direct control over it). Note that every developed country in the world was struggling with post covid inflation but the USA dealt with it relatively well.
-Re-entered the Paris agreement
-Withdrew troops from Afghanistan – now the US is officially not involved in a major war for the first time since 2001.
-Imposed sanctions and aided Ukraine in the war against Russia
-Negotiated a ceasefire deal with Hamas to stop the Israel-Hamas war
He’s objectively an above average President, I know the typical American will think low of him but seriously, Biden did his best given the hand he was dealt.
