Is LeBron an all-time great closer in the NBA playoffs?

He is.

Sorry to all those haters out there who think he’s not clutch, or if they want to call me a ‘Bronsexual’ for stating the facts but, Lebron holds the highest elimination game PPG in NBA history at 33.6 PPG.

In fact, let’s directly compare him with Kobe, a player many think is an all time great closer. Let’s take a look at some Game 7s shall we?

2006 vs Pistons Game 7 – Bron drops 27 and they lose the series

2008 vs Celtics Game 7 – Bron drops 45 and they lose the series

2012 vs Celtics Game 7 – Bron drops 31 and 12 to close the series out

2013 vs Pacers Game 7 – Bron drops 32 and closes the series out

2013 vs Spurs Game 7 – Bron drops 37 and closes out the NBA Finals

2016 vs Warriors Game 7 – Brons drops a 27pt triple double and closes out the 73 win Warriors in the Finals

2018 vs Celtics Game 7 – Bron (playing all 48 minutes) drops 35 to close the series out

What about Kobe?

2000 vs Blazers Game 7 – Kobe drops 25 and closes out the series

2002 vs Kings Game 7 – Kobe drops 30 (Shaq drops 35) and they close out the series

2006 vs Suns Game 7 – Kobe drops 24 points and blows the 3–1 lead

2009 vs Rockets Game 7 – Kobe drops an anemic 14 points (Gasol drops 21 and 19) and they close out the series

2010 vs Celtics Game 7 – Kobe drops 23 and 15 and closes out the Finals (with significant assistance from Gasol)

2012 vs Nuggets Game 7 – Kobe drops 17 and they close out the series

So game 7 performances.. everyone online takes Kobe because they think he’s a closer. The stats tell a different story. Bron often significantly outperforms Kobe in Game 7s – the Game 7s that Kobe ends up winning in he usually isn’t even the leading scorer on his own team.

And this is just Game 7s but it represents how under pressure in the biggest moments Bron almost always shows up. It’s the haters that always spread the 2011 Finals continuously to brainwash the public into thinking he isn’t clutch. Same thing with 2013 Finals why is Ray Allen’s shot replayed continuously but not Bron’s Game 7 performance? that’s the one that actually won the series but nobody talks about it.
