How do conservatives in Canada view Pierre Poilievre’s performance in the election?

Clearly he was a failure. He avoided the media, he didn’t get his messaging across clearly enough, he didn’t do enough to tie Mark Carney to Justin Trudeau. He couldn’t even win his own riding.

This SHOULD have been Pierres election to win. 10 years of disastrous Liberal governing which left Canada in shambles, the economy in tatters, unchecked immigration, rampant drug abuse everywhere etc

The polls had the Conservatives easily decimating Trudeau’s liberals but then Carney came in and re energized the Liberal party. Which shouldn’t have happened if Pierre was more on point with his messaging. It should have been easy for him. He just needed to tie Carney more to Trudeau and emphasized that his Canada First policy would be harsher on the US and better able to deal with Trump. Instead he avoided the media and kept letting the liberals take pot shots at him tying him to Trump. And the Liberals were effective at convincing the public that Pierre was a bad incompetent dude. It worked. Pierre did nothing to fight against it.

So as a Conservative I’m obviously extremely disappointed in Pierre. This should have been an easy win for conservatives and instead we get a 4th goddamn liberal term that will continue to destroy Canada and ruin us. Pierre was incompetent. Any half competent conservative leader should have won this election. I can’t believe this shit…
