That’s obviously an exaggeration, but there’s absolutely no doubt that Giannis could dominate the 1970s.
This player’s name is George McGinnis. He pretty much was Giannis before Giannis. He was strong, fast, a PF who could run down the court and bully you, shoot it from midrange, hammer you in the post, and pass out of the pivot very well. In his prime in the ABA he won 1 MVP, 1 scoring title, 2 championships, 1 FMVP and had a season where he averaged 32/16/8 in the 1975 playoffs en route to the Finals. His first year in the NBA was also productive as he was All-NBA 1st team and averaged 23/13/5 and was top 5 in MVP voting.
Giannis is basically an improved version of McGinnis that’s taller and a better defender so yes there’s no doubt he could dominate the NBA. He wouldn’t average 250 (not possible anyways even if you play every minute of a game), but he could definitely averaged 30–35 PPG and be like a prime McGinnis, prime Dr J or prime Bob McAdoo
