China has never invaded or attacked the USA in its history, so why do Americans hate China so much?

tldr; it’s because Americans see China as a threat to end American hegemony and dominance. Basically they see China as the new threat replacing the Soviet Union of decades past. China’s GDP is creeping up on USA’s and China’s the next best bet for replacing the USA as a superpower. China’s powerful economy and advancements in technology is becoming more and more a threat to the USA.

So it’s not about anything personal Chinese did to Americans; they never bombed Pearl Harbor, they never hijacked airplanes and flew them into buildings, none of that. It’s just the fact that they are the emerging superpower, that’s it.

Americans also rely way more on China than China relies on USA; most of American products are actually made in China – and there’s hardly any Chinese products that are made in USA. Americans are also very wary of Chinese ‘stealing’ American technology… thus why companies like Huawei are banned from the US.

But yeah, by and large the reason why Americans see China as an enemy is just because China is clearly the next most powerful country in the world that’s pretty much it.
