I’ll give you a player many people don’t talk about enough: Roger Brown
He was a New York City playground legend and an ABA legend. He won 3 championships and a Finals MVP with the ABA Indiana Pacers.
But more than that if we’re talking 1 vs 1, Roger Brown was given the nickname “The Rajah” and “The man with 1000 moves”. This dude had every move in the bag to score against you. He proved that in the 1970 ABA playoffs, scoring 53 points in the 1970 ABA Finals Game 4, the most ever scored in an ABA Finals game. At his peak before injuries robbed him of his athleticism, this guy was a beast. It’s a shame he never got to play in the NBA due to the NBA blackballing him (along with Connie Hawkins and others) unfairly associating him with point shaving scandals.
