The Tia Trio is my first 64 Audio IEM and I think this one is definitely more on the fun and energetic side. It is a 3 driver IEM (hence Trio) in 2BA 1DD configuration. It retails for $2300 USD. I used Lotoo Paw Gold Touch as the main source.
Packaging is pretty good with lots of tips and a standard puck style case
The shell looks pretty boring but it’s 64 Audio’s style. It’s just their logo and tia name on it.
Bass:
The Trio is basically a v shaped IEM so the bass is pushed up but its not overwhelming. It has a nice amount of texture and slam that you expect from a dynamic driver. It’s not basshead level but the bass amount should satisfy most people.
Mids:
I feel because of the v shaped sig, the mids suffer a bit here and don’t sound as strong as the bass or treble. I think it’s ok, but vocals could use better body and definition. It might be the weak point of the Trio imo
Treble:
The Trio has great treble extension and it’s slightly pushed up and might even sound peaky or harsh to some. But it’s a bright energetic IEM and the detailed treble is reminiscent of the Fourte’s treble just not quite the same level of detail as that. I think most people and trebleheads will appreciate the Tia’s treble, it’s one of the strong points.
Technicalities:
Trio has one of the widest soundstage I’ve experienced for the $2k price point and it is honestly very impressive, probably due to the tia technology. I think detail and soundstage of Trio is pretty top notch for this price point.
Overall, I find Trio to be a very solid offering for 64 Audio, I think for an energetic IEM, it’s one of the best at this price point and in fact I personally like it more than the flagship Fourte because the Trio has more bass and is more well balanced than the Fourte is, despite the Fourte’s technicalities.
